At SBI we focus on building students' confidence in English and maximizing opportunities to communicate both in and outside of the classroom.
SBI’s Global Communication Programme is designed for English learners (ages 18+) who want to combine English language study with the opportunity to spend time on the paradise island of Bali.
SBI’s General English Classes build foundation skills with additional grammar and conversation classes focus on improving accuracy and fluency.
Students combine 15 hours per week of General English study with 5 additional hours of grammar and conversation classes and study in mixed nationality classes with fellow students from around the world.
Most students stay onsite at the SBI resort and enjoy the convenience of staying and studying in one location complete with a student café, entertainment area and regular activities.
Qualified native speaker and high-proficiency non-native teachers (from the UK, USA, Australia, Indonesia, etc) all hold CELTA and TESOL qualifications and are experienced in guiding international learners.
SBI teachers deliver engaging student centered lessons that are aimed at maximizing each students’ opportunity to actively use English and build confidence in a safe and supportive classroom environment.
We host a diverse international student community with all classes being mixed nationality with no one nationality being dominant at the school. SBI hosts students from France, Italy, South Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Brazil, Chile, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and a mix of different countries.
SBI’s classroom spaces are well-appointed with comfortable seating, air-conditioning and multi-media facilities that all support the learning experience.
Complete student support is provided at SBI and we arrange student visas, accommodation, airport transfers, laundry services and assist with any required onsite support required.
Onsite accommodation is available at the SBI Learning Resort and this provides the opportunity to stay and study in one location. Students choosing to stay onsite at SBI can book single hotel rooms with twin share hotel rooms available for friends booking together.
SBI’s student café is open 7 days a week from 7am to 9pm and provides a mix of breakfast, lunch & dinner options. Our dedicated co-working space also provides an excellent environment for students needing to work or study during their time in Bali.
Exciting student events & extra activities happen almost daily at SBI with morning yoga classes, BBQ nights, cooking classes and fun surfing and cultural outings adding value to the student experience.
The resort has a large swimming pool for students to enjoy before and after class and all rooms face the pool. At SBI we have a student hang out zone with a billard table and outdoor seating as well as a fitness center, cold plunge and sauna for student health and well being.
A focus on speaking & listening skills, with some reading & writing and a minimum 80% attendance required to receive a final certificate. Monday to Friday schedule: Session 1: 9:30am - 11:00am Session 2: 11:15am - 12:45pm
Each week SBI runs 2 × 1 hour conversation classes to SBI students with a topic-based focus and a focus on free speaking practice. Monday and Wednesday schedule 1:45pm - 2:45pm
These sessions focus on specific skill needed for the global work place such as interview skills, CV writing, debating, making presentations etc… Tuesday and Thursday schedule 1:45pm - 2:45pm
A chance for students to pick up the basics of the local language to enhance their Bali stay. Friday schedule: 1:45pm - 2:45pm
